A new bakery product deserves more than four pictures of the same tray. A customer may want a first look, a glimpse of how it is made, a clear signal that the first bake is ready, and a way to order the next batch. Each post should move that decision forward without guessing at ingredients or claiming stock that may already be gone.
This is a fictional writing exercise, not a real product launch or Mazuly customer result. Brass Finch Bakery is preparing apple-cardamom hand pies for an illustrative October 2026 launch. The captions below are examples to adapt only after a real baker verifies the product, batch plan, ingredient and allergen information, price, pickup terms and working order route. No product images have been created or approved for this article.
Verify the batch before preparing the campaign
For this example, suppose the baker's approved batch sheet and current order page agree on the following. These are invented source facts for the exercise, not claims about an operating bakery.
| Source fact | Illustrative approved detail | What must stay live |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Apple-cardamom hand pie with butter pastry | Name and description on the order page |
| Ingredient and allergen notice | Apples and cardamom in pastry made with wheat flour and butter; contains wheat and milk | Full ingredient and allergen information checked by the kitchen; no “allergen-free” claim |
| First bake | 24 pies planned for Saturday 17 October; pickup begins at 10:30 a.m. | Order page shows current availability; no post guarantees a remaining quantity |
| Next bake | A second bake of 18 pies is planned for Saturday 24 October | Kitchen confirms that batch before the reorder post goes out |
| Price | CAD $5.50 each, with any applicable tax shown at checkout | The price on the current order page matches the post |
| Order route | https://example.com/hand-pies is a placeholder for the bakery's real order page; pickup at the bakery, no delivery. In this example the page offers a dated order option for the 17 October bake and adds a separate 24 October option only after the kitchen reconfirms that batch. | Link and correct dated option work, current availability is shown, and the team can fulfil orders |
If the kitchen changes an ingredient, the batch size or the second bake date, update the order page first and revise or hold affected drafts. Do not ask an image model to invent the product photo. Use real, permission-cleared images of the actual hand pie and process once the bakery has them.
1. Preview what is coming
Channel and time: Instagram feed, Wednesday 14 October at 10:00 a.m. local. Image brief: a square photograph of an approved test-bake hand pie on a simple bakery surface, with the shape and pastry visible. This is a brief for a future real photo, not an image supplied by this article. On-image line: “Apple-cardamom hand pies · 17 Oct.”
Caption: “A first look at our apple-cardamom hand pies. Our first planned bake is Saturday 17 October, with pickup from 10:30 a.m. They are CAD $5.50 each; check the current order page for availability, full ingredient information and checkout details. The pastry contains wheat and milk. Order through the link in our profile if this batch is still open.”
Hashtags: #BrassFinchBakery #HandPies #BakeryLaunch. Customer action: use the bakery's verified order-page link. Do not post the preview until the test bake matches the final recipe and the order page is ready.
2. Show one real making step
Channel and time: Facebook, Friday 16 October at 2:00 p.m. local. Image brief: a fresh square photograph of the bakery team shaping the actual apple-cardamom hand pies for the first bake, with staff permission and no private order details in frame. On-image line: “Prepared for Saturday's bake.”
Caption: “Here is one step from today's preparation for our apple-cardamom hand pies. Saturday's planned batch is for pickup from 10:30 a.m. The hand pies are CAD $5.50 each and contain wheat and milk. See the current order page for the full product details and to check whether an order can still be placed.”
Hashtags: #BakeryProcess #HandPies #BrassFinchBakery. Customer action: check the live order page. This post does not claim that the batch is already baked or that a pie will remain when someone sees it.
3. Say when the first bake is ready
Channel and time: Instagram feed, Saturday 17 October at 10:30 a.m. local, only after the baker confirms the pies are ready for pickup. Image brief: a square photograph of that morning's actual finished tray, showing the product being offered, not an old test batch or unrelated pastry. On-image line: “Today's hand pies are ready.”
Caption: “Our first apple-cardamom hand-pie bake is ready for today's pickup at Brass Finch Bakery. They are CAD $5.50 each and contain wheat and milk. Please check the live order page for current availability, full ingredient details and pickup instructions before you travel. If the batch is full, the page will show whether the next bake can be ordered.”
Hashtags: #FreshBake #HandPies #BrassFinchBakery. Customer action: use the live order page, not a stock count in an old caption. If the pies are delayed or the page cannot reflect availability, hold or update this post. Do not leave “ready” online after the offer is no longer current.
4. Invite an order for the next bake
Channel and time: Facebook, Tuesday 20 October at noon local, after the kitchen reconfirms the second bake. Image brief: a different, permission-cleared close-up of a finished hand pie from the approved first batch, perhaps showing its pastry and filling. Label it as the product, not a photograph of an unmade second batch. On-image line: “Next planned bake · 24 Oct.”
Caption: “Missed the first bake or ready for another? We are planning another batch of apple-cardamom hand pies for Saturday 24 October, with pickup at Brass Finch Bakery. They are CAD $5.50 each and contain wheat and milk. Check the current order page for the confirmed pickup time, full ingredient details and whether orders are still open.”
Hashtags: #NextBakeryBatch #HandPies #BrassFinchBakery. Customer action: order through the verified page while it accepts orders. This invitation does not say the first batch sold out or promise that the next one is unlimited.
Review the four as one customer journey
The preview introduces the product. The making shot shows an actual preparation step. The ready post depends on that morning's confirmation. The reorder post depends on the second batch being reconfirmed. Before publishing each one, compare its image, on-image line, caption, price, allergen statement, date and link with the current kitchen record and order page. If stock or timing changes, update or remove the affected post rather than relying on an old caption.
Photo Studio can use approved product photos and Brand Brain context to prepare each finished creative, on-image line, caption and hashtags. The bakery still supplies the actual images and live batch facts. For an unplanned same-day tray that needs a timely message, use the same-day food guide; it answers a different job from launching a new product over several days.
